Hyper 212 installation3/28/2023 ![]() Yes, I am probably being extremely cautious and asking this was probably not required but just wanted a second opinion. Before I put in the motherboard into the case I held the motherboard and twisted it around in the air and the heatsink did not move at all. ![]() My case is upright and the heatsink stays firmly in place. I think what happened is that even though I may not have pushed down on the pin BEFORE screwing the four screws in, the pressure from the zig zag and the screws forced the middle pin that sits immediately below the heatsink to "secure" and thus all is well.ฤก) heatsink is firmly locked in. To install, one holds the bracket over the top of the coolers CPU plate and fits the pivot into a hole in the top of the plate. I've since done it (obviously) but it did not move at all. I can't for the life of me remember if I pushed down (prior to screwing the four screws into the mount I previously assembled on the motherboard in the zig zag direction) on the pin that is directly below in the middle of the heatsink. I was looking at youtube and other installation guides on how to install the Hyper 212 Evo. ![]() ![]() I think I may have missed a step in the installation of my Hyper 212 Evo on a Asus Z97-A USB 3.1 but ultimately I think it took care of itself. I think I'm good but would like some opinions. ![]()
